O projeto Praia Limpa é uma iniciativa da Ong.Oceânica realizado com recursos da Fase 3 do Projeto Ponta de Pirangi, patrocinado pela Petrobras, e ocorrerá no próximo dia 9 de junho, com início às 9h estendendo-se até o final da tarde.
Desta vez o projeto será realizado na praia de Búzios, que também é um berçário natural de tartarugas e está sendo monitorada pela equipe do projeto Ponta de Pirangi e voluntários.
“Desde fevereiro estamos monitorando a circulação na Praia de Búzios, tanto com relação a desova das tartarugas como a circulação de veículos. Nesse processo a equipe vem conversando com as diferentes instituições locais sobre necessidades de estratégias mais adequadas para a área. Por isso escolhemos a Praia de Búzios como palco do evento”, conta a presidente da Ong.Oceânica, Joane Batista.
O evento é aberto ao público e terá a participação da sociedade civil, instituições públicas, Escola Municipal Alberto de Carvalho de Araújo/EMACA, OASA, ABUZADA, UFRN administração do Maior Cajueiro do Mundo, donos de estabelecimentos, bar e restaurante de praia e voluntários, além de representantes de órgãos públicos do Meio Ambiente, Turismo, Transporte, Educação e Saúde e usuários da praia.
“Propomos o Praia Limpa para fortalecer as iniciativas da sociedade que tratam das questões socioambientais da praia, com o objetivo de discutir de maneira ampla, participativa e integrada o ordenamento e conservação dos bens naturais do espaço costeiro e marinho”, completa Joane.
Além do mutirão de limpeza de praia com pesagem dos resíduos sólidos, a programação do Projeto Praia Limpa conta com a apresentação das atividades previstas para a praia de Búzios até 2019, a Oficina “Plantio de Mudas Nativas” e a Oficina “Tartaruga de Pente e Búzios”
